3 Ways to update your garden this summer

At this time of year everyone loves to be out in the garden enjoying the sunshine. But you may be thinking that your garden is looking a little tired and needs sprucing up a bit. Before you start redesigning your space, why not try a couple of these tips? Sometimes small changes are all you need!

1. Clean the paved areas.

If you haven’t cleaned your patio or drive this year then it’s a good idea to get the jet-wash out. A clean patio free from dirt and algae can really lift the space and make it feel like new again! You might also choose to seal your stone to keep it in tip-top condition for longer. Try drytreat for a long lasting sealant that doesn’t change the look of your stone.

The bottom left tile has been sealed with DryTreat. You can see that it repels water, meaning it will take longer for algae etc. to form, keeping your stone cleaner for longer.

2. Update your garden furniture.

If you have wooden furniture then it might need a refresh after the cooler months. Try giving it a light sand and oil or repaint to give it a new lease of life. Alternatively, it might be time to invest in a new set of furniture. Take a look at our slate furniture for an easy to care for hardwearing product. It comes in a range of sizes and shapes to suit all sorts of patios.

3. Take a look at your walls.

How about updating some of the walls in your garden? If you have any concrete or brick walls that don’t look particularly appealing, try giving them a makeover. You could give them a lick of paint, or alternatively try cladding them in some natural stone. This will really elevate the look, adding some texture and colouring to the wall. The internal cladding we use can also be used on outside walls if fully bonded. We do some different cladding options that will really add some oomph to your garden space.
