Terms & Conditions


The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions. An order will be deemed to be acceptance of such terms and conditions. Any variation will only be valid if agreed in writing and signed by both parties.

All orders accepted by RR Stone Co Ltd [RRS] are subject to these terms and conditions of sale. These supersede any previous terms and conditions. To obtain full details of our terms and conditions. contact our office. Alternatively, they are on the rear of our invoices.


Prices and delivery charges are in pounds Sterling (GBP) exclusive of VAT. VAT will be added to all charges at the current rate where applicable.

RRS reserves the right to revise prices and details without notice. Note, where products are supplied in a pattern format involving several different sized products to complete the pattern, RRS will only supply the pattern as a whole and not individual constituent parts.

To assist in prompt despatch, please use the correct product codes and descriptions as supplied on this website. Orders can be sent by fax, telephone, post or via the order form on this website.

All items subject to availability.


Delivery charges will vary dependant on size, weight and distance from RRS. Once agreed, these will form part of the purchase price. RRS will endeavour to deliver all goods on the agreed date as stipulated on the order. However, a change of order may impact on the delivery date and this should be confirmed when amending an order. In the event of items being out of stock, RRS will inform the customer and give an estimated delivery date. Delivery will be to a mainland UK address only unless previously agreed. If no-one is available at the address at the time of delivery, the driver will retain the goods unless stated on the order. RRS will await further instructions.

Note, there will be an extra delivery charge in this situation which must be paid before re-delivery. If the goods are to be left without the customer present, then full payment must be received prior to delivery. RRS cannot accept responsibility for incorrect delivery or loss of goods when the customer is not present to accept them. The delivery company, in most cases, will leave notification of the attempt to deliver. All delivery times and dates are subject to factors outside the control of RRS. RRS will keep the customer informed, but cannot accept any liability for force majeure, war and other hostilities, civil commotion, accidents, strikes, lockouts, trade disputes, acts of restraints of government, imposition or restrictions of imports or exports or any other cause not within the reasonable control of RRS.

Note that delivery may take place any time Monday – Friday between 8.00am and 6.00pm (excluding bank holidays). RRS are unable to offer timed deliveries. All deliveries will be made to the address stated on the order. This will typically be kerbside delivery, depending on the vehicle used. If kerbside delivery is not suitable, goods will be unloaded to the nearest easily accessible and safe access point for the address stated. RRS is not responsible for onwards handling at the property once initial delivery is completed. All goods should be checked against order and an acceptance signed.

If no signature is obtained, it will be assumed the goods are accepted in full. Shortages, damages and incorrect deliveries notified to RRS within three working days of receipt will, wherever possible, be rectified within 7 working days, subject to availability and transportation. Thereafter, any remedial action will be at the entire discretion of RRS. Customers should telephone 01539 822666 in the event of any issues relating to delivery or the goods themselves.

RRS does not accept any liability for lost working time or the cost of third party contractors in the event of incorrect or delayed delivery. The transport and carriage of goods by customers or their own contractor is entirely at their own risk. RRS cannot accept any liability whatsoever for any damage, loss or inconvenience arising out of the transport or carriage of goods where such transport or carriage has been arranged by the customer.

Special destinations will have to be priced separately, by fax, phone, or e-mail. Heavy or bulk trade orders are subject to delivery quotation. A 7 day delivery period is adopted. Any claims for non-delivery or shortages must be made in writing within two days of delivery.



In the unlikely event that the customer is unhappy with the goods supplied, they can be returned to the RRS premises within 3 days of purchase. If the nature of the return is clearly stated, the purchase price will be refunded, less a 25% restocking fee. This will be on confirmation that the goods are in the same condition as when delivered (with the exception of powder products, such as adhesives, grouts, etc. We do not accept returns for any powder products). RRS can arrange collection of the goods for a charge, which requires confirmation prior to requesting collection.

Without exception, no returns will be accepted after 7 days. Shortages, damages and incorrect deliveries must be notified to RRS within 3 working days of receipt and, wherever possible, will be rectified within a further 7 working days subject to availability. A customer adviser is on call Monday to Friday between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm on 01539 822666. Where payment is from a credit/debit card, any refund will be to the same account.

Any goods returned incomplete i.e. packaging missing, accessories missing etc. will not be replaced or credited. Similarly, any goods found to have been used will not be replaced or credited.

Returns for Ted Todd Products

In the event that you return non-defective Goods the Company is not under any obligation to accept the cancellation of an order nor shall the Company be obliged to accept a return of Goods. If the Company decides at its discretion to accept such a cancellation or return
it may levy such charges as are deemed reasonable to cover any costs associated with the cancellation or refund. If Goods are made to order or modified in accordance to your specification or if they are clearly personalised in any way they cannot be returned to the Company and you are not entitled to a refund.

We have considerable administrative costs due to Ted Todd’s FSC tracking requirements and all returned goods need to
be set up as a new tracking record with its own unique chain of custody record. The charges as listed only reflect
part of these costs.

Restocking charge: 25% of total goods value, minimum charge £100 per order.

Collection costs from site: £80 per order up to 100m2, £60 per 100m2 or part thereof after. 

Goods not ready to collect at time of collection: £60 per attempt will deducted from all credits issued. 

Please understand that goods collected need to be in the condition in which they were delivered. Goods cannot be accepted unless they are returned in the same state that they are delivered. If you would not accept the goods you are returning, please do not be surprised if we do not credit these goods.

Goods must be palletised and ready to collect. We can provide a pallet and wrap on request should this be required. We will not credit opened packs or damaged goods. These will be deducted from the value of your return. We will charge for sorting and disposal of open packs and or damaged material returned to Ted Todd at a rate of £5m2. This will be deducted from the value of the credit invoice issued. 


Payment should be by cash, cheque with valid cheque guarantee card, Delta, MasterCard, Solo, Switch, or Visa. All credit card transactions will be subject to a 2% charge at the time of order, unless otherwise agreed. All goods remain the property of RRS until payment is received in full. If payment is not received prior to or on delivery, RRS reserve the right, unless previously agreed in writing, to charge interest on any payment or part payment not made within 30 days of order at a rate equivalent to 5% above Barclays Plc base rate, calculated on a monthly or a part of a month basis.

All credit card transactions will be subject to authenticity by the Modulus 10 check Algorithm system. We reserve the right to refuse any credit card transactions.

Responsibility for Goods

The customer will be responsible for the goods from their delivery. RRS will accept responsibility for the goods whilst they are in transit so that, if they are damaged on arrival, under RRS’s return policy, RRS will replace them free of charge. However, this will be the full extent of RRS’s liability.

RRS accepts no liability for the suitability of goods ordered by the customer unless the customer specifically states in writing, prior to placing any order, that there are particular requirements for the product.

Unwanted Goods

Some of RRS’s products are bespoke which means exchange or refund is not possible unless the product is actually defective. If this is the case, RRS will notify the customer that the item is non-returnable before accepting the order. RRS will, wherever possible, provide material samples in advance.

Custom made orders must have detailed specifications signed and agreed by both the customer and RRS prior to manufacture. Any delay in this is the customer’s responsibility.

Cancellation Policy

Once placed, orders cannot be cancelled except that where a non-refundable deposit has been taken by RRS. Where the goods are not custom made by RRS will agree to the cancellation of the order, provided that a minimum of two weeks notice is given of such intention prior to delivery.

Health & Safety

RRS‘s intention is to comply at all times with all relevant UK laws including Health and Safety at Work and Environment Protection acts. Customers visiting the premises of RRS must not attempt to lift or move any product. It is strongly advised that all suitable precautions are taken off-site, as the majority of the products are heavy in weight.

Note that gloves and goggles as well as other suitable safety clothing must be worn when handling products supplied by RRS. All customers are referred to health and safety guidelines in connection with the goods as no liability shall fall on RRS once the goods have been delivered to the customer.

Law & Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions shall be governed and construed in all respects according to the laws of England and shall be subject only to the jurisdiction of the English courts. If any provision in these terms is found to be invalid in court, the validity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these terms, which shall remain in full force and effect.

Failure by either party to exercise any right or remedy under these terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy. Headings in these terms are for convenience only and will have no legal meaning or effect.


All designs and imagery used within the showroom and in publicity leaflets, advertisements and publications is the copyright of RRS and any reproduction must be with express permission of RRS in writing.


RRS limit any financial liability/obligation to replacement product only. RRS cannot be held liable for any labours involved in installing or replacing products.

Reservation of Title

The risk of the goods passes to the buyer upon delivery from the carrier, but the TITLE in the goods remain vested in us and shall only pass from us to the buyer upon full payment made by the buyer, of all sums due on whatsoever account or grounds to us.
